The highest decision-making powers in the Finnish Post and Logistics Union PAU is exercised by the Congress that convenes every four years. Representatives to the Congress are elected by the local trade union chapters based on the number of members. In between the Congresses, decision-making powers are exercised by the Union Council that convenes twice a year.
The day-to-day operations of the Union are administered by an Executive Board in accordance with the policies determined by the Congress and Council. Assisting the Executive Board are executive committees, working groups and the Union office.
The Board of PAU was elected in the 29th General Assembly held on 5.-6.6.2025. The Board guides the activities of the federation according to the Associations act, union bylaws and decisions made by the Union Council. The Board consists of the chairman and 10 members.
The chairwoman of the Board is Heidi Nieminen. Other members of the Board are Marko Koivumäki, Mauri Alanen, Juha-Pekka Hakulinen, Jyrki Sutinen, Jari Kontkanen, Aleksi Andersson, Jouko Luttinen, Juha Torvinen, Satu Ollikainen and Laura Meriläinen.
The Union Council for PAU was elected in the 29th General Assembly held on 5.-6.6.2025.
The Union Council consists of the Chairman, 24 members and 10 deputy members. The Union Council convenes for its statutory meeting twice a year. Proposals to the agenda of the Union Council meeting can be done by local chapters and the Board.
